Julia is an independent neurological physiotherapist who has over 30 years' experience of working across both public and private sectors of healthcare. She has developed a particular interest in stroke and acquired brain injury and has worked in many different clinical settings as a physiotherapist, with extensive experience in assessing and developing clinical, operational and management delivery. She has also held a number of Clinical Leader roles to transform services.
Julia has worked privately in the Eastbourne area for the last 15 years seeing individual clients as well as providing physiotherapy expertise to local nursing homes. During this time, she has developed her own limited company ‘Rehab4u’ which provides specialised rehabilitation to clients in their own homes or community settings and includes two successful exercise groups. Rehab4U now has a large team of professionals supporting this service delivery.
More recently she has supported many clinicians through clinical and development supervision to ensure high quality and safe care as well as continued professional development.
Out of work, Julia spends time with her dogs and likes to keep active by attending the gym and, if the weather permits, sea swimming.
Beth is committed to offering a person-centred and goal-directed approach for her patients. She has worked as a Physio since graduating in 2008, with experience working in both the NHS, the private sector and volunteering abroad.
Beth developed a specialist interest for neurological physiotherapy at the start of her career, during her rotations at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London. She has been part of clinical teams in a variety of settings. She has worked within a community stroke rehab team, in-patient neurological rehab/residential facilities, a specialist school and college but more recently has focused on seeing people in the community and their own homes. Beth is currently part of specialist multi-disciplinary teams, treating people with sub-acute spinal injury. As well as working with neurological patients, Beth has recent experience in working with older people with Dementia and enjoys enabling individuals to achieve their potential, involving family and friends where possible.
Beth believes in a holistic approach to therapy and has furthered her training in other areas. She is a level 3 body and sports massage therapist with advanced training in myofascial release and has also qualified as a 200 hour yoga teacher.
Beth is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
Caroline is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience in both the NHS and the independent sector. She is highly skilled in diagnosing and managing various conditions that might affect different areas of your body. Having progressed to an Advanced Practitioner level within the NHS, she is able to apply these higher level skills, knowledge and decision making within her work in the independent sector. She believes clear communication is an essential skill which she is able to offer to allow you to understand your diagnosis and to enable you to be jointly involved in deciding what is the best way to collaboratively manage it.
Over time she has developed a special interest in lower limb conditions and rehabilitation of sporting injuries. Working alongside Orthopaedic and Sports Injury Specialists has been valuable in her physiotherapy development. Participating in ongoing learning allows her to stay informed with the latest research in the Profession (Evidence Based Practice).
Caroline is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Chartered Society for Physiotherapists (MCSP), the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP), the Advanced Practice Physiotherapy Network (APPN) and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Orthopaedic Medicine and Injection Therapy (ACPOMIT).
Charlie has worked within physiotherapy for the last 22 years. She started her career at the Eastbourne District General Hospital and has worked in most disciplines of Physiotherapy moving onto the community services team alongside working in the hydrotherapy pool and at a school for children with additional needs all whilst working for Rehab4u from day one.
David is a Senior Physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience working in physiotherapy within the NHS and is a graduate of the University of Brighton. He is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, helping individuals restore movement, build confidence, and improve their quality of life through physiotherapy and lifestyle support.
Before qualifying as a physiotherapist, David worked within the fitness industry for over 17 years, specialising in cardiac rehabilitation, mental health, and GP referral programmes. He also gained valuable hands-on experience working as a Physiotherapy Assistant in numerous physiotherapy departments prior to attending university. This diverse background has provided David with a deep understanding of the connection between physical activity, wellbeing, and recovery, which continues to inform his holistic approach to patient care.
Having previously worked with Rehab4U as a Rehab Support Worker, David is pleased to return to the team, bringing extensive clinical experience and a compassionate approach to rehabilitation.
Outside of work, he enjoys coaching children’s football and recently led his team to a league title.
Georgia has worked in the NHS for over 11years in various roles within acute hospitals, intermediate care, community teams and specialist stroke teams. Her most extensive experience is working with patients in the community and developing rehabilitation skills for recovery from injury, illness, enhancing independence, health and wellbeing with a holistic approach.
She completed her FdSC in Health Sciences to qualify as an Associate Practitioner in 2019,as well as the credited OTAGO course for falls prevention, and most recently, a qualification in postural management and support, focusing on the importance of this for clients that are bed/chair bound or have very limited movement.
Within her most recent role, she has been working closely with patients that have suffered severe stroke with the aim of improving outcomes for them across their recovery journey, from acute hospital setting through to a home environment, providing their rehabilitation and advocating for them for the intervention they need.
Outside of work Georgia is a keen traveller and enjoys exploring as many parts of the world asshe can.
Helen holds a Level 3 qualification in Sports Massage and Level 2 in Infection Prevention for Complimentary Therapies and Sports Massage.
Through massage treatment, Helen aims to help people, from all walks of life, overcome mobility related issues, care for those who are suffering injuries, long-term impact or pain and, provide assistance in helping to achieve wellness goals. She specialises in several massage modalities including sports massage and hot stone massage.
As a competitive athlete for many years, Helen understands that massage therapy is an integral part of injury prevention, rehabilitation and overall health.
Helen is a full member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and currently works as an associate with Rehab4U whilst running her own mobile massage and therapy business.
Her compassionate approach to massage therapy blends her therapeutic knowledge to create a relaxed, soothing treatment.
Karen is a sports science graduate with extensive training in sports therapy, massage, and coaching, and who values mobility for both physical and mental well-being. She has a personal background in competitive swimming and triathlon at a high level.
Karen works as an Associate Massage Therapist for Rehab4U as well as running her own Sports Therapy practice where she provides clinical assessments, treatment, rehabilitation, and maintenance services including massage, stretching, manual lymphatic drainage, and taping to help clients overcome mobility issues and return to their chosen sports or activities safely and efficiently.
Kirsty is a qualified level 3 personal trainer and Yoga instructor who specialises in strength training, mobility and building longevity and wellbeing through exercise.
Kirsty graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA Hons in Philosophy and Psychology, and an MSC in Performance Psychology. She is currently completing a PhD at the University of Brighton in Cognitive Sports Psychology.
In her free time, Kirsty enjoys climbing up rocks and is a passionate cat-owner.
Leane has worked full time as a Chartered Physiotherapist in both hospital and community settings since qualifying in 2004 and has a special interest and particular expertise working with older adults. Leane obtained a Masters in Clinical Research focusing on dementia and has a wealth of knowledge, skill and experience working with those living with dementia.
The input from family members, carers and staff in residential or nursing homes when offering physiotherapy assessment and treatment is welcomed. This involvement is particularly valuable to give voice to patients who may have difficulty communicating their needs or lack capacity to make decisions around their care and treatment. Leane believes in a physiotherapy approach that reflects the needs of our older population when they experience a fall, injury, deterioration in health following an illness or when living with a long-term condition. Her approach is therefore sensitive, compassionate, goal orientated and inclusive. Leane’s physiotherapy advice and treatment is aimed at helping each individual to work towards meaningful personal goals and the underpinning philosophy is to achieve an outcome that has a positive impact on an individual’s quality of life.
Maxine is a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and has been practising for the last 9 years. She has also worked with vulnerable communities in the charity sector for over 15 years.
Maxine has a particular interest in Acquired Brain injury as she has lived experience of supporting a family member with an ABI, along with the struggles and challenges that this brings.
Maxine will support you as you work through these struggles at your pace and she will work alongside you to help you find understanding about how you feel in a comfortable and confidential environment.
She has a therapy room in Eastbourne or she can see you in your own home.
Nikki has run her own massage therapy business in the past and has experience of working as a Reablement Support Worker in the community and as an Associate Practitioner in the local Falls Prevention Team. She teaches people both seated and standing exercises in the community to help them improve their mobility/confidence. She holds a Level 3 Diploma in Massage, Level 4 in Sports Massage and is a Postural Stability Instructor (Level 4).
She is qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and has recently achieved a Level 3 Diploma in supporting clients with long-term conditions (formerly GP Exercise referral). Nikki is keen on helping people to become more active and is now studying to become a Level 5 Associate Practitioner.
Rebecca is a highly experienced Neurological Physiotherapist with over 25 years in the NHS. For the past 20 years, she has specialised in neurology, working as part of a Community Neuro Rehab Team.
Rebecca has a particular interest in stroke and acquired brain injury, but her knowledge spans a broad range of neurological conditions. She is especially passionate about helping older adults regain independence and quality of life. Rebecca has developed special interests in postural management, improving strength and fitness for those with neurological impairments, and using electrical stimulation to support recovery of the upper limb.
Rebecca is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), as well as specialist interest groups in neurology and vestibular rehabilitation.
Outside of work, Rebecca keeps busy with family life, enjoys regular trips to the gym, and loves walking in the South Downs to unwind and recharge.
Sarah has been working at Rehab4U since January 2022. One of the main reasons she was attracted to working with Julia was her ‘alongside’ approach.
Sarah’s main responsibilities include invoicing, administering the exercise groups, dealing with new enquiries, maintaining the website and looking after Julia and the team as required.
She also runs her own travel business.
Tom is a Specialist Physiotherapist who is an experienced falls practitioner with special interest in vestibular physiotherapy. He has a background of being a Healthcare Assistant, Physio Assistant and Rotational Physio in West Sussex.
He also has extensive experience with the Joint Community Rehab Team and has been instrumental in the creation of the Benign Paroxysmal Position Vertigo (BPPV) pathway. He is also a Parkinson's and Dementia champion.
Tom has recently worked alongside an expert Audiologist who also has a passion for all things dizziness.
Olga has been teaching yoga for the last 20 years and studying with well known, influential yoga teachers from the UK and America.
Her style of yoga is influenced by different yoga traditions and combines the traditional yoga with the alignment-based yoga. This creates an inclusive, calming class helping participants to become stronger, more flexible, and more confident in their body and mind.
She teaches a variety of Yoga Classes and Workshops spanning all levels of ability and ages. Yoga classes take place at locations around Eastbourne, including Sports Clubs, Yoga Studios, outdoors in Gildredge Park during the summer months and online.
Celine is an Occupational Therapist with over 14 years’ experience working in the NHS with clinical experience in assessing and treating people in acute and community settings. She is HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) registered and a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. Since qualifying in 2008, she has worked in many NHS clinical settings including mental health, orthopaedics, complex discharge, stroke and rehabilitation (both acute and community). As part of her rehab programmes she aims to reduce falls, promote strength and balance, optimising safety and independence at home.
She has extensive experience in supporting clients in crisis at home and those with discharge plans, enabling them to return home following temporary placement in a care home.
Celine has a specialist interest in motor neurone disease (MND), and she works closely with clients, families, and caregivers, completing functional and environmental assessments, recommending and providing equipment, and advising on fatigue management.
Corrine has worked within the NHS in their specialised hospital intervention team. Having worked closely with occupational therapists, physios, nurses and social services, her role was to assess patients and put in place what was needed to facilitate a safe discharge.
She subsequently went to work within the physio team at Eastbourne DGH on the rehab ward and stroke ward. There she delivered exercises following a physio's care plan and helped to support the ongoing progression to recovery. She was seconded to work at a local care home where the NHS had funded 10 beds where she helped assess and deliver a tailored programme to facilitate discharge. She also has 10 years of experience in dementia care and end of life care.
Debbie is a Specialist Neurophysiotherapist with over 30 years of NHS experience, having recently stepped down from her role as Cross Site Team Lead for Neurophysiotherapy Outpatients.
She has worked to build up links with other teams to ensure more seamless multi-disciplinary patient care. She has liaised closely with the local MS and PD Branches to establish Self Help MS Gym and PD Aquatic Classes. Her caseload is very varied, seeing patients with MS,PD, Neuromuscular conditions, MND, FND, SCI, Neuropathies, Stroke and ABI. She holds PD High Intensity Level 2 training, enabling her to deliver higher intensity exercise programmes for people with Parkinson’s.
Debbie is passionate about improving neurological services and is actively involved in a workstream to enhance local provision for patients with Functional Neurological Disorder. She is equally committed to supporting the clinical and personal development of colleagues.
She is registered with the HCPC and is a member of the CSP and ACPIN.
Hannah runs her own massage therapy business called Helping Hans Massage & Therapy and prides herself on being a therapist with a person-centred approach. She also runs a couple of massage clinics each week at Sportswise, a specialist private clinic for the treatment of sports injuries and musculoskeletal problems.
She qualified as a Massage Therapist in London in 2008 and she was awarded a Level 3 ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage. She then continued with her study of massage and attended a Masterclass in Deep Tissue Massage, before going on to study for a Level 4 BTEC Professional Diploma in Sports Massage and Treatments. Hannah is currently adding to her therapy portfolio and studying to be a Certified Hypnotherapist at the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy in London. She is also interested to qualify in Psychotherapy in the future.
Hannah is very active and belongs to a local running club. She also likes to sea swim. She is passionate about working with clients and being a part of their rehabilitation journey.
Jayne has a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and Leisure Management from Southampton University, is a qualified Exercise Referral Specialist, and a Level 4 BACPR cardiac rehabilitation instructor.
Jayne has over 20 years’ experience as a fitness instructor/personal trainer. In addition to leading her own cardiac rehabilitation classes, Jayne also has experience in Stroke Rehabilitation and runs the 'Green group' classes for Rehab 4U.
Jayne has her own personal training and online fitness business, Happy Health Hub.
Kieran is a Trauma Specialist Physiotherapist with a particular interest in spinal trauma, education and coaching.
He is a member of the National Major Trauma Rehabilitation group and is currently leading the production of training modules throughout the UK for trauma including Traumatic Brain Injuries, spinal cord injuries and musculoskeletal injuries.
In addition to his time spent with Rehab4u clients, Kieran also works as a band 7 Trauma and Orthopaedic Physiotherapist in the NHS, and is completing a coaching and mentoring qualification due to having a passion for team members' development.
In his free time he likes to go to the gym, play guitar and cook lots of different cuisines.
Krishna has been a qualified physiotherapist for more than 25 years. He is registered with the HCPC and a member of the CSP, having completed by Master of Physiotherapy with Advanced Physiotherapy in Neurology and gained a Professional Doctorate.
He is working as a senior lecturer in physiotherapy, teaching neurological rehabilitation for physiotherapy students. He has experience of offering physiotherapy services for a range of long term neurological conditions in adults. Krishna can offer physiotherapy for Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Spinal Cord Injury, Peripheral Neuropathy and Guillain–Barré Syndrome.
He understands the impact of long term neurological conditions on individuals and family. Krishna is particularly interested in empowering patients and supporting them in problem solving, realising their own potential and designing meaningful goals. He is a pragmatist with specific interest in enabling and improving the health related quality of life of adults with long term neurological conditions.
Louis is a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer who has always had an interest in health/fitness and anything sport-related from a young age. Since qualifying as a Personal Trainer, he has many years of experience working in a gym environment running group training sessions and 1-1 personal training.
Louis has a keen interest in all fields of fitness including weight training and cardiovascular fitness specialising in muscle gain/fat loss and HIIT style training. He enjoys helping people reach their goals with a simple but effective approach.
In his spare time, Louis is a keen footballer who plays as a goalkeeper and enjoys watching the televised big games.
Moira is a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with over 20 years experience. Both in the NHS and independently. She has worked in many settings including acute wards, stroke and rehabilitation units, out patients and community services. Moira has worked most closely with people who have active communication/ and or swallowing difficulties as a result of acquired brain (including stroke) and progressive neurological disorders.
Moira is a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Sarah is a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist with over 17 years of experience in the healthcare sector. She has a proven track record of supporting clients in achieving their personal and therapeutic goals across various settings, including mental health, dementia care, and physical rehabilitation. Working with a patient-centred approach, she enjoys strong interdisciplinary collaboration and is deeply committed to improving clients' quality of life.
Whilst holding an MSc in Occupational Therapy, she is also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy.
Her approach is grounded in empathy, respect and a deep commitment to helping clients achieve their highest potential. Whether through improving daily living skills, fostering independence, or providing emotional support, she is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she works with.
Outside of work Sarah enjoys socialising with friends and family and spending time with her two dogs.
Before qualifying as a Physiotherapist, Sean spent over 10 years working as a Personal Trainer in the health and fitness industry, developing a strong foundation in movement, strength, and injury prevention.
Now with more than 5 years’ experience as a Physiotherapist, Sean specialises in Musculoskeletal (MSK) rehabilitation — helping patients recover from a wide range of conditions including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and back pain.
He combines his background in fitness with evidence-based physiotherapy to help clients restore function, build resilience, and achieve lasting results.
Chris is a registered Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Profession Council and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. He initially received his training in the Philippines and worked as a Clinical Supervisor at a local hospital. In 2012, he started working in the NHS with Sussex Community Foundation Trust and the Brighton Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust. Chris has extensive experience working with young people with cerebral palsy, and patients with neurological conditions, and has a background working in the orthopaedic ward. He is a member of the cardiac rehab team.
Chris has a "Can do" attitude and uses a holistic approach and evidence-based physiotherapy management for patients. He is an excellent motivator who inspires his patients to achieve their highest level of functionality. He advocates for his patients' better physical and mental health and ensures that their families are educated on the importance of physical activity in their daily routines.
Since 2012, Chris has been participating in various physical challenges to raise funds for charities such as the Sussex Heart Foundation and the Chailey Heritage Foundation. He has signed up, trained, and finished one marathon yearly until 2021. Over time, he has also added ultra marathons, duathlons, triathlons, and several long-distance bike rides.
Specialist Occupational Therapist with 20+ years experience who has worked in neuro-disability for the past 11 years; specialising in adaptations for people with autism, learning disability and sensory processing difficulties. Since qualifying in 2002 work settings have included intermediate care, falls prevention, assisted discharge (from hospital) schemes, orthopaedic rehab, postural management and wheelchair service, A&E, and various mental health settings (both acute and community).
Hannah has a specialist interest in older peoples' health care and rehabilitation, as well as advocating for and rehabilitating people with executive functioning difficulties and complex conditions. She has extensive experiencing of adapting activities and environments to promote independence, improve occupational performance and facilitate a better quality of life. Her approach is person-centred, goal-directed and inclusive. She puts the client at the centre of their care where complex decision-making is involved and advocates for the individual when best interests decisions are required. Hannah is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and is HCPC registered (Health and Care Professions Council). She also has 14 years experience of supervising other professionals from a variety of backgrounds.
